Sep. 23—A person is suspected of scamming individuals of greater than $100,000 after persuading victims to switch cash to him beneath the guise that he would make investments it in cryptocurrency, in keeping with Spokane police.

The suspect, who many victims seek advice from as “Crypto Mike,” takes the cash and disappears, in keeping with a Spokane Police Division information launch.

Police imagine there could also be extra victims. Officers imagine the suspect, who has not been charged, left the Spokane space and has an arrest warrant for theft in California.
